2011 EASTON Zinfandel, Rinaldi Vineyard Image

91 points, Wine Enthusiast
90 points, Stephen Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar

The Rinaldi Vineyard in Fiddletown dates back to 1865, and is one of the oldest in the state. The vineyard is farmed with simplicity and Bill lets it do its thing in the cellar with his "hand off" approach to winemaking. This bottling is always 100% from the Rinaldi site.

2014 EASTON Zinfandel, Amador County Image

90 points,  Wine Enthusiast

This is the eighteenth release of our popularly-priced Amador County Zinfandel. It is made from grapes that grow on our beautiful, rolling mountain sites that have the classic, vermilion-colored, Amador decomposed granite soil. The 2014 has full black cherry and blackberry fruit aromas with a beautiful balance and a big, sumptuous, and juicy mouth feel. It also presents complex spicy aromas, with a nice creamy texture derived from the 10 months time it receives in French oak barrels.

2017 EASTON Zinfandel, Lot 1852 Image

This is a new style of Amador County Zinfandel for us that is made in an older historic-style reminiscent of wines from 1852 when Zin first arrived in California. The grapes were partially-crushed, partially whole-cluster, and fermented in a closed tank where there was some carbonic fermentation. This created an enjoyable and quaffable Zinfandel that has a beautiful floral quality. It also shows savory notes of violet, mountain sage, and yerba buena. Drink it at a cooler temperature than you might normally drink red wine, even a little chilled on a warm day.

Our 2010 EASTON Estate Zinfandel was featured on the cover of the Wine Enthusiast and received great scores from many publications. This wine has developed even more in the bottle rewarding us with great depth of flavors. This wine is a good example of our cellar aging program. Bill releases no wine before it is ready to drink.

2011 EASTON Cabernet Sauvignon, Estate Image

90 pts. The Wine Enthusiast

90 pts. California Grapevine

91 points Tanzer’s International Wine Cellar

Color is dark purple, with complex aromas of cedar, tobacco, and asian spice box. The fruit is blackberry/ cassis/olive with a pleasant St. Julien-like texture, mineral-infused flavors, and sappiness. The wine has good balance, intensity, a plush texture, and length. We think this is the best Cabernet Sauvignon we have made to date.
