This Fiddletown Zinfandel is made from vines at the Rice-MacDonald Vineyard planted in 2000. This 5.8-acre hillside vineyard at 2,000' elevation is planted with a mix of Zinfandel clones. We farm these rocky, granite soils in a holistic and sustainable manner using just natural amendments for farming, owls to keep the rodents in check, in-row cultivation, and lots of manual labor. "E" stands for EASTON, ecological techniques, estate-grown, elevation, and exquisite.
This is our most elegant Zinfandel. Perfect for backyard BBQs and picnics. It shows great spicy aromatics, delicious boysenberry fruit flavors, and a fascinating mineral laden finish from the vineyards schist-laden hillside.
